Senior Ladies Football League (Round 1) Clonduff V East BelfastThe senior Ladies got their season off to a great start on Tuesday evening (5th April) at home in Clonduff Park to East Belfast.
Clonduff started the scoring in the 2nd minute of the game with a lovely point from play. The Clonduff Ladies kept that lead for the whole game with the points ticking over.
Half time Clonduff 0-8 East Belfast 0-1
The Clonduff girls played against a strong wind in the second half but were still able to hold off the East Belfast challenge.A lovely goal from play by Orlaith McCusker which curled to hit the back of the net giving Clonduff a comfortable lead.
However East Belfast didn’t give up and fought to the end landing themselves a goal with a minute to go.
