Hard luck but well done to St Colman’s U16 Hurling team who reached the final of the U16 Danske Bank Leopold Ulster Hurling Cup Final. They were beaten by St Patrick’s Dungiven on a scoreline of 5-7 to 1-9 at The Dub, Belfast on Thursday 21st December 2023. Hurling in St Colman’s has come a long way in recent years with the Clonduff players making up a large percentage of the team.
The Clonduff lads in their distinctive ‘Yella Jerseys’ are (l-r) James Matthews, Rowan Burns, Lorcan Matthews, Shaun Rice, Ryan McPolin, Eoin Crosbie; the lad beside Eoin is Danny Doyle from Shamrocks who also plies his trade with Clonduff and the little lad 3rd left in front row is Rory Magee from Mayobridge who plays for Clonduff U13s.
