Stephen celebrates with delighted parents Arty Noel and Roisin
Stephen McConville played a pivotal role for St Mary’s University College Belfast when they won their second ever Sigerson Cup in 2017. They beat UCD by a single point to lift the Sigerson Cup for the first time since 1989. Full time score: St Mary’s 0-13 UCD 2-6.
The Sigerson Weekend took place in Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence in Bekan (close to Knock), Co Mayo. St Mary’s clinched a place in a Sigerson Cup final for the first time in 24 years, when they came from behind to see off UCC in their semi-final clash. (Full time: St Mary’s 2-7 UCC 2-6).
