Sport NI is the major funding partner for the development which will commence on Monday 26th October with a 16 week schedule!
The Contracts were signed on Thursday 22nd October 2009. The Main contractor for the provision of the new field and flood-lighting is McAvoy Construction (Annaclone). He has assured Clonduff and Sport NI (the major funding partners) that, weather permitting, the field will be ready for re-seeding by Christmas though it won’t be sown out until the Spring time. It will be ready for use in 2011 season.
The original driveway will be incorporated into the new field. The new access road is directly opposite the gate to the Chapel car park. This work is a joint contract between M & M Contracts (Crilly) and Leode Quarries and this is a major priority. The existing car park and back field will be re-aligned to accommodate the new development as shown in the Architects drawings below.
