Clonduff sent two Boys’ Teams to Saval also on Wednesday night 8th May to compete in the Down U-14 Feile na nOg Handball Competitions.
Team 1 – Tom Close, Charlie Kerr, Patrick Cowan and Shay Fitzpatrick
Team 2 – Darragh Fitzpatrick, Conor Milligan, Rory McKernan and Shane Close below with Michael Keenan
Both teams played their hearts out and were very unfortunate not to have any winners on the night.
Team 1 were beaten by Downpatrick but came back strongly to beat Saval
Team 2 got to their Final and beat Warrenpoint 15/7 in game 1 but were beaten 15/4 in game 2 to lose narrowly on aggregate scores.
Tom Close came very close to winning the skills competition – 37/42. Hard luck, Tom.
Clonduff boys were the youngest teams on the night and have to be in with great chances of winning next time. Well done lads!
