Clonduff U10 Footballers enjoyed another great day out in Downpatrick on Saturday 12th September in excellent weather conditions. Thanks to Downpatrick, Clonduff were allowed to enter two teams – all 29 children got at least 1½ hours football. Clonduff B found themselves in a group with Rossa (Belfast), Teconnaught and Bredagh, losing their three games. They went on to meet Ballyholland in the Shield Quarter Final. Many of the Clonduff players are eligible again next year and they bowed out after giving their best.
The A team won their group, beating Bryansford, Ballyholland and Downpatrick going on to lose the quarter final of the cup to Rossa. Star of the Rossa Side was Daire Matthews, son of former Clonduff player Mark Matthews.
