The U12 boys attended The Moy Tournament on Saturday 12th September and as a good spell of weather appeared so did a good spell of football for the Clonduff lads. After the group games Clonduff were in the Shield semi final against Errigal Ciarán – this was a great game; the B team won 6 points to 1 and the A team won 10 points to 4 to set up a final with Newbridge of Derry. These two games had everything! The B team got it going with a brilliant performance winning 14 points to 3, the A team drew 8 points each in a cracking game.
This tournament is unique in that clubs must enter two teams – the A teams all play against each other and the B teams only play each other. Points are awarded for wins/draws and are aggregated so that the winner is the club whose A and B teams combined secure the most points.
