U14 LGFA DEVELOPMENT TEAM IN CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI FINAL 2022
Drumgath 5-6 Clonduff Development Team 3-4
Before throw-in, a moment’s silence was observed for the Late Rosie Curran (Clonduff) and the people of Creeslough, Co Donegal.
This game was played in atrocious conditions but that didn’t deter the young girls from either side. The young Clonduff side fielding quite a number of U12s gave a great account of themselves and were only 2 points adrift at the break. They found the going very tough in the second half playing against the elements but they never once dropped their heads and kept playing to the final whistle – all and more that had been asked of them. The improvement in the skills levels over the season has been amazing and considering the number of U12 girls playing this is testimony to the hard work put in by both players and mentors. Well done everyone, keep up the hard work – your day will come!
Many thanks to mentors Anthony Binks, Kevin O’Rourke and Kieran Kelly who helped on the day and Mrs Motivator herself Geraldine McPolin.
