U14 LGFA INTO A CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL 2022
LGFA U14A Championship – Clonduff 4-5 Burren 3-7
If the first U14 game of the day was played in atrocious conditions then the conditions for the later game was ‘doubly atrocious’. As in the earlier game a moment’s silence was observed for the late Rosie Curran (Clonduff) and the people of Creeslough, Co Donegal.
The heavy rain and wind throughout called for the Clonduff girls to put on an unreal display of heart and determination to make it to the county final. Playing with the elements behind them in the first half, the Clonduff girls built up an 8-point lead but Burren came storming back in the second half and actually moved into a one-point lead. The Clonduff girls had to dig deep and they showed great skills and determination to pull off a one point win in a tense final few minutes. Roll on the final in two weeks!
