Our boys played St John’s on Sunday afternoon in Dromara in their Championship Final (Plate). It was a fantastic occasion, and many thanks to the large number of Clonduff supporters that travelled to the match. It was also wonderful to see the U14 Gaels team all there supporting their team mates. So many supporters passed comment today on the bond the entire squad have as a single unit.
As they’ve done all season, the Ógs worked tirelessly as a team, and played great football to back up their hard work. At halftime, we went in 2 points ahead and started the second half brightly with another 2 points to lead by four points. With only 9 minutes to play, a single point separated the teams, and all credit to St John’s as they slotted over 3 scores in a row to win by 4. Congratulations to St John’s.
Well done to the team and management. As a club we are very proud of all these boys, and look forward to watching them for years to come
