Last week it was the turn of the Clonduff veterans to strut their stuff. On Sunday 12th September it was the turn of the players at the other end of the age spectrum – The Under 6s !
Sixteen U6 children travelled by bus to Moygannon, Warrenpoint for a return fixture. A great improvement was seen by all mentors and parents and even remarked upon by the Warrenpoint mentors. They played some great football and displayed a high level of skill for their age. The match ended in a draw with Clonduff scoring a last minute goal.
Paddy McConville (Clonduff organiser) would like to thank the mentors Marty Woods, Mickey Fegan, Paul Kelly and Connor Donnan and especially all the parents who supported their children on Sunday and throughout the coaching sessions. U6 coaching will resume on the Sunday after the All Ireland Final! This is the panel that attended coaching all year, though not all were at the game on Sunday.
