ULSTER SENIOR CAMOGIE CLUB SEMI FINAL IN CLONDUFF PARK

The Clonduff girls gave it their all, and went it a half time a point down to experienced campaigners and Antrim Champions Loughgeil 1-9 to 2-7. They levelled up right at the restart but then the visitors used all their experience and fired in three quick-fire goals that The Yellas never recovered from but they certainly didn’t throw in the towel and fought right to the final whistle.

All of the amazing highlights (apart from the 2nd half goals) came from the homeside – Fionnuala’s sideline cuts going over the bar, long range points from Sara Louise and Paula, and those those two players combining to score the Clonduff goal, Amy’s equaliser to draw the game at the start of the second half. There were certainly a lot of positives but little consolation for the players at the end of the game.

Juvenile players U6-U12 from both teams entertained the big crowd with their wonderful skills at half time – bodes well for the future in both Clonduff and

The big crowd of supporters of both teams were treated not to a traditional Camogie game but something akin to a Senior Hurling match – keep up the hard work Clonduff – Tiocfaidh bhur lá!

Best wishes to Loughgeil in the Ulster Final.
